Smallwood are looking for an experienced charity or non-profit leader to join them as theirHead of Programmes, to play a wide ranging and key role within the leadership structure, working closely with the CEO, the Grants Team and the Board.This role is a 12-month maternity cover, from August 2024 – July 2025 and will have 7 direct reports.
This role will be remote with 1-2 meetings/visits per month to Smallwood’s offices in Malvern, Worcestershire, or other project locations. Budgeting and implementing/designing new grant processes and procedures, overseeing the programme management of complex grant priorities across a portfolio of multiple work streams.
Shaping and delivering an evaluation framework that enables Smallwood to more effectively track progress against their longer-term outcomes.
Overseeing and ensuring effective relationship management between the staff team and grant holders, community grant partners and other key stakeholders across all grant programmes.
Adhering to relevant legislation, best practice, policies and processes including; but not limited to, charity law, the fundraising regulator, GDPR and professional codes and standards
