Reporting to the Eco-Schools Scotland Coordinator, the Education and Learning Officer (Gaelic) will be part of theEducation and Learning Team and will ensure that all Climate Action Schools programmes and activities can betranslated into, supported, developed, and implemented in the Gaelic language. The Education and LearningOfficer (Gaelic) will also offer direct support to schools across the northern areas of the Highland Council,Western Isles and the surrounding area, by delivering in-person Eco-Schools and climate education training andworkshops. The Education and Learning Officer will also support learning establishments to engage whereappropriate with wider Keep Scotland Beautiful projects.
We are looking for someone with fluency in written and spoken Gaelic with a good working knowledge of supporting andimplementing large-scale youth-focused projects and initiatives.
You will have experience of coordinating and supporting volunteers along with the ability to plan, develop andimplement training and support. In addition, we are looking for you to have demonstrable experience ofsupporting education initiatives and programmes and supporting press/media/PR activity.
You will ideally be based in or able to travel throughout the areas where direct support to schools will be providedas part of the post.

Using your keen eye for detail you’ll ensure that the research the team produces and maintains the highest quality.Whether this is when you are conducting interviews, developing and analysing surveys, or carrying out deskresearch – you’ll be using your clear communication skills to ensure data is gathered and analysedeffectively.
The research you undertake and support on is critical to Changeworks achieving its strategic aim to accelerate thedecarbonisation of Scotland’s home to help tackle climate change. Your work will lead to positive change for theenvironment as well as people, their wellbeing, and the homes they live in.
