Assistant Accountant Accounts Payable

Are spreadsheets your playground, and financial analysis your forte? As an Assistant Accountant, you will be supporting the preparation of Magenta Living's management and financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency by rolling forward monthly accounts and reconciling them with financial statements, budgets, and previous periods. Additionally, you'll aid in maintaining subsidiary accounting records, management accounts, and financial accounts, including investigating significant budget deviations and drafting reports for the Board and Executive Leadership Team. Timely completion of general ledger functions, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustment journals for all Group companies, is also a key responsibility. Furthermore, you'll conduct monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including intercompany balances, and contribute to Value for Money reporting and analysis by identifying trends and offering performance commentary. Finally, your tasks include assisting in the preparation of financial accounts and supporting schedules for the year-end audit of Magenta Living and its subsidiaries.

Hours of Work: Full Time, Permanent, 12 month fixed-term contract, 37 hours per week

Good verbal and written communication skills are a must and ideally, you will be fully proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office.
