Head of Asset Management

The partnership's mission is to enable Cadent, the UK's largest gas distribution network, to deliver a safer, more resilient and more sustainable gas system to communities in the West Midlands for generations to come.
Through a best-in-class operating model, digital transformation and innovative solutions in process efficiency, Trinity will replace more than 300 kilometers of assets every year for the next decade, enhancing Cadent’s mains and service network infrastructure and achieving long-term value for consumers.
You will sit on the Senior Leadership Team and have an oversight on all thing Safety and Assurance within the West Midlands CMO contract.
Lead a high performing team with a focus on improving health & safety, engineering compliance, and competence and training standards within the CMO and the Supply Chain
Develop, implement, and review industry leading policies and working procedures to enable safe and productive delivery of work in accordance with client requirements.
Act as the business lead for all health and safety matters across Trinity identifying and responding to current legal and best practice requirements whilst incorporating specific Client requirements.
Ensure and monitor compliance with Key HSE legislation (eg CDM, Temporary Works, HSWA)
Set the strategic direction for effective health and safety management and appropriate workplace wellbeing programmes for Trinity employees (including mental health first aid)
Work proactively with the Senior Leadership Team, the Client, and other key stakeholders to maintain a programme of continuous improvement in the management of health, safety and wellbeing.
Effectively coordinate the Safety & Assurance Management team to ensure compliance requirements are being controlled, documented and maintained in accordance with regulations and guidelines
Provide direct support and counsel to the SLT on HSEQ matters ensuring that works are conducted in accordance with the JV Safety Principles
Understanding of the Cadent operating systems and management procedures (eg SCO)
Experienced in managing/ coaching operational site teams
Experienced in conducting audits with internal/external stakeholders within a formal risk-based framework
NEBOSH national diploma level 6 or equivalent degree
