Please note, we have 3 positions available with 2 based in our North region (covering Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool) and 1 role based in our Midlands region (covering Birmingham and in part some North regions).
The Head of Acquisitions will play a critical role in identifying land opportunities for purchase or partnering. You will be leading a talented and experienced team who are committed to making positive change and delivering our ambitions.
This is an opportunity to shape the future of our Acquisitions and Partnering team in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose. Working with key stakeholders and a professional team you will ensure development land is secured effectively creating a lasting legacy.
To achieve this you will support the Assistant Acquisitions Directors and National Acquisitions Director in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners in the land market at regional and national levels to enable the Agency to be both proactive and reactive to market opportunities.
The candidate will be dedicated to delivering first-class professionalism, resolving challenges whilst taking an innovative and creative approach to land and partnering issues. We believe working in a collaborative way to foster good decision making and problem solving within their team.
A bit about you…Whilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our partners in acquiring land, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.
You'll be comfortable supporting the Assistant Director with complex land issues, aiming to resolve challenges in a commercial and expedient fashion. You will be proficient in negotiating commercial land deals for the public purse.
Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as an acquisitions and partnering team. You will enjoy working in an innovative and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.
As an experienced land and development professional you will understand how to manage colleagues and external project team members and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
