HMP Brixton is now a Category B male prison since April 2025 housing men on remand. Our patients needs will vary greatly but there will be a focus on mental health, substance misuse and early days in custody. Hours 37.5 hours a week. 3 long days a week Salary £28.12 an hour How will we support you? What you'll be doing As a Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will Provide outstanding evidence based case to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them - focussing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs. Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries. Playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient’s care following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding. Qualified Paramedic Current professional registration (HCPC) Proven post-registration ambulance experience Evidence of continued professional development A non-judgmental and compassionate approach Proven experience in either: Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or Minor injuries / illness Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
