  • To ensure that all schools in the Trust receive excellent, efficient and effective HR support.
  • To advise Trust and School leader on compliance and risk management issues.
  • Act as a business partner / coach to senior managers and build positive relationships to ensure consistency of approach and to develop an understanding of the importance of good HR practice / leadership.
  • Lead and develop the HR team members and deploy them effectively to ensure that both they and the HR function deliver an efficient, effective and professional HR service to Academies.
  • Introduce and drive change management initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain all HR related policies and procedures, systems and processes underpinned by statutory compliance and best practice.
  • To report on HR KPIs to the Staffing, Operational & Management Committee.
  • To create and implement the HR action plan.
  • To create and implement a recruitment and retention strategy for the Trust with the goal of attracting, fostering, and keeping exceptional employees in all positions.
  • Ensure that the Trust complies with the requirements of the Public Sector Equality Duty.
  • Develop effective professional working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including colleagues, educational advisory boards, trustees, trade union representatives and external agents.
  • Oversee investigations and complex employee relations issues including redundancy and grievance.
