Here at Spartan Recruitment we have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Chef to be part of something very special. We are searching for a Cafe/Breakfast Chef to take control of a morning service at a new and unique restaurant near Elsworth, Cambridgeshire. With a farm to fork philosophy only using freshest locally sourced ingredients, the kitchen at this remarkable venue focuses on quality above all. The Venue is situated amongst a courtyard of artisan produce suppliers and a thriving Market Garden who all supply the restaurant kitchen with fresh ingredients on a daily basis. This allows the Head Chef to create an ever changing menu with seasonal specials and creative dishes. The opportunity for progression is just around the corner for all. The Cafe/Breakfast Chef Role, is one of the most important within the business and the new in-coming Cafe Chef needs to match the same ambitions and passions as the owners and Head Chef to help this company grow. What we need from you:

  • The experience needed to deliver enviable food for guests.
  • Adaptable to new challenges.
  • Will have all current/up-to-date certification for food safety and allergen awareness.
  • The desire and passion to win and build your philosophies around this communal work ethic.
  • An eye for detail.
  • A professional appearance.
  • The stamina required to deliver.
  • The skill to be calm and unflustered.
Responsibilities required:
  • To support the Head Chef in the management, control and delivery of the breakfast service.
  • To ensure the highest standards of health & safety are always met and that the kitchen is always compliant.
  • To follow, support, and improve the highest levels of standards and quality for all guests.
  • To be responsible and support the Head chef with the control and replenishment of all consumable stock ensuring that all orders are received in their entirety.
  • To support the Head Chef in ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen, storerooms, fridges and other associated areas are in line with all current legislation regarding food safety and HACCP.
  • To record and maintain accurate daily and weekly checks regarding Health & Safety and Hygiene.
  • To communicate, in a friendly and professional manner, with all other departments in relation to any requirements.
  • To actively help promote the business.
