Here at Spartan Recruitment we have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Chef to be part of something very special. We are searching for a Cafe/Breakfast Chef to take control of a morning service at a new and unique restaurant near Elsworth, Cambridgeshire.

With a farm to fork philosophy only using freshest locally sourced ingredients, the kitchen at this remarkable venue focuses on quality above all. The Venue is situated amongst a courtyard of artisan produce suppliers and a thriving Market Garden who all supply the restaurant kitchen with fresh ingredients on a daily basis. This allows the Head Chef to create an ever changing menu with seasonal specials and creative dishes.

The Cafe/Breakfast Chef Role, is one of the most important within the business and the new in-coming Cafe Chef needs to match the same ambitions and passions as the owners and Head Chef to help this company grow.

What we need from you:

· The experience needed to deliver enviable food for guests.

· Adaptable to new challenges.

· Will have all current/up-to-date certification for food safety and allergen awareness.

· The desire and passion to win and build your philosophies around this communal work ethic.

· An eye for detail.

· A professional appearance.

· The stamina required to deliver.

· The skill to be calm and unflustered.

Responsibilities required:

· To support the Head Chef in the management, control and delivery of the breakfast service.

· To ensure the highest standards of health & safety are always met and that the kitchen is always compliant.

· To follow, support, and improve the highest levels of standards and quality for all guests.

· To be responsible and support the Head chef with the control and replenishment of all consumable stock ensuring that all orders are received in their entirety.

· To support the Head Chef in ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen, storerooms, fridges and other associated areas are in line with all current legislation regarding food safety and HACCP.

· To record and maintain accurate daily and weekly checks regarding Health & Safety and Hygiene.

· To communicate, in a friendly and professional manner, with all other departments in relation to any requirements.

· To actively help promote the business.
