Transition Learning Centre Manager - The Cornerstone Academy Suitable for - Higher Level Teaching Assistant/ Learning Support Assistant
Specific focus in supporting students in their social emotional mental health during the transition period to secondary school.
Summer or Autumn 2024
Starting Salary: Full Time Equivalent £25,000 / Pro rata Actual salary £20,133 to Full Time Equivalent £28,500 / Pro rata Actual salary £22,952 depending on experience
Contract type: Permanent
Term time only, 38 school weeks plus training days
Be a consistent and supportive member of staff to lead the transition programme for a small group of young people as they transition into secondary school.
Support the transition learning centre students to access the national ks3 curriculum.
Implement small group sessions to develop students areas of development, this can include zones of regulation, emotional literacy and cognition and learning support. (Training will be provided as necessary).
Lead on students individual learning plans and contribute to annual reviews.
Training will be provided to ensure a proven programme is being followed.
Have good organisational, planning, evaluation and monitoring skills
Be flexible and willing to learn
You will be helping to improve the progress and achievement of our students and ensuring the development and implementation of the school’s safeguarding, behaviour and anti-bullying policies, in order to support students’ ability to self-regulate their behaviour; you will be part of a team that is child focused and changes young people’s lives through care and education.
