Our client, a market leader for automated manufacturing systems, are currently recruiting a Senior Automation & Software Engineer to join their growing team in Coventry. The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering programmable systems (PLC’s & Robots), concept design, commissioning and installation.
Timely and efficient design, installation and integration of automation systems
Execute the design of the programmable systems, PLC, HMI’s, Robots, Safety Systems, Drive Systems, Vision Systems and SCADA
Prove the automation system within the digital simulation environment through virtual commissioning. Demonstrate all programmable code performs as intended and is ready for on-site commissioning.
Installation of the designed software, debugging and commissioning of the automation functions, in a methodical manner
Demonstrate the operation of the automation and its recovery through suitable testing techniques with the end customer

Time served with at least 5 years industry experience as an Automation & Software Engineer
Extensive Siemens PLC experience
Knowledge of controls systems and technologies with an understanding of the leading manufacturer’s systems, Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, Cognex
