Job Title: Senior Automation and Controls Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation and Controls Engineer to join our team at AutoNeura. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced control systems for our software platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive and lead software/control systems algorithm development and architecture
  • Conduct R&D of control system algorithms, including hardware in the loop testing
  • Technical analysis of control strategy performance
  • Publish high-quality journal papers and attend conferences
  • Report technical status
  • Develop modular, reusable test and automation software in Python and similar languages
  • Define and implement project plans, manage milestones, and hold reviews to ensure reliable test systems are delivered to production
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering, math, or science discipline
  • 2+ years of software programming experience using Python, C++, or other object-oriented language
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience with programming and developing custom control systems
  • Knowledge of dynamometer control systems, motor control systems, or engine control systems
  • Experience with advanced control strategies or machine learning approaches
  • Analytical approach to developing control algorithms
  • Extensive knowledge of digital and analog interfaces
  • Experience in developing custom coded control systems
  • Experience in developing control systems with NILabView or similar frameworks
