PsiQuantum’s mission is to build the first useful quantum computers—machines capable of delivering the breakthroughs the field has long promised. Since our founding in 2016, our singular focus has been to build and deploy million-qubit, fault-tolerant quantum systems. By leveraging the advanced semiconductor manufacturing industry—including partners like GlobalFoundries—we use the same high-volume processes that already produce billions of chips for telecom and consumer electronics. Photonics offers natural advantages for scale: photons don’t feel heat, are immune to electromagnetic interference, and integrate with existing cryogenic cooling and standard fiber-optic infrastructure. In 2024, PsiQuantum announced government-funded projects to support the build-out of our first utility-scale quantum computers in Brisbane, Australia, and Chicago, Illinois. These initiatives reflect a growing recognition that quantum computing will be strategically and economically defining—and that now is the time to scale. PsiQuantum also develops the algorithms and software needed to make these systems commercially valuable. Our application, software, and industry teams work directly with leading Fortune 500 companies—including Lockheed Martin, Mercedes-Benz, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Mitsubishi Chemical—to prepare quantum solutions for real-world impact. Job Summary PsiQuantum is looking for a UK-based HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support across the UK and broader EMEA region. This is a fixed term contract. Responsibilities As our global HR Generalist, you’ll support the following areas: HR Operations Support the delivery of core HR functions, including payroll coordination, onboarding, and off boarding across the UK and EMEA. Maintain and update global HR policies, ensuring alignment with current legislation and best practices. Contribute to the development of efficient global HR processes and the continuous improvement of operational systems. Help assess benefit offerings and pension plans for the global workforce. HR Systems & Data Management Support the maintenance of HRIS platforms and entities (ADP, Globalization Partners, etc). Partner with Data Analytics & Systems Manager and ensure HR data is accurate, secure, and compliant with data protection requirements. Drive process automation and digital efficiency within HR operations. HR Administration Act as the first point of contact for global HR-related queries, providing timely and professional support. Partner with Global HR Manager to establish time zone coverage across UK, EMEA & APAC. Maintain accurate employee records in ADP and SharePoint, including updates related to new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and promotions. Experience/Qualifications 3-5+ years of experience in HR operations, ideally in a fast-paced, multi-location organization. Strong knowledge of UK & European employment law. APAC nice to have but not required. Preferably worked within a hardware or manufacturing/production organization. Ability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities and adapt to a fluid, high-growth environment. Good judgment and ability to make sound decisions independently and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a diversity of people in a high-touch, personalized manner.
