The Fuel Store (TFS) is a progressive, Birmingham based business using technology to develop its market and stay ahead of the competition. TFS provides a range of products and solutions to its customers which help them to increase profits through increasing basket size, customer loyalty and usage; serving customers more efficiently and cost-effectively. Future development will be a combination of organic and inorganic growth offering its customers a carefully thought out package of products with software that enables easy/dynamic/cost optimised fleet management at its core.
In order to take our Sales Department to the next level, we are looking to welcome a Sales Team Leader to report into our Sales Manager with the purpose of increasing the effectiveness of our overall sales through structured and consistent delivery of management aligned to sales technique, sales strategy, and sales theory/philosophy.
This role is about leading the sales floor. Inspiring them will be crucial to the success of this role across our Sales division.

Sales Manager
Responsibilities for a Sales Team Leader:
To lead by example, motivate and develop a varied team of salespeople and various sales channels.
Actively support your team by being highly present on the sales floor, engaging and inspiring. This can be in scheduled sessions such as a morning meeting.
To use the CRM as a sales tool and support team members in effective utilisation.
Help set clear performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and implement strategies to enhance team productivity.
Identify individual development needs and create tailored coaching plans with the Sales Manager.
Ensure the team adheres to processes, compliance, and quality standards.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies, tactics, and action plans to drive revenue growth, upsell effectively and expand the customer base.
Understand our customer portfolio and allocate data for Sales Consultant.
Provide tracking updates and forecasts to the Sales Manager.
Partner with Recruitment/People to Recruit, coach, and develop Sales Consultants to achieve consistent results.
Liaise with stakeholders and departments to enhance the Sales Department's operation.
Communicate effective sales techniques and strategies to build a high-performing team.
Conduct regular feedback sessions and performance reviews.
Ensure compliance and quality standards are met in all customer interactions.
To have the ability to contribute to The Fuel Store’s success, you will need the following knowledge skills and experience:
Proven demonstratable experience in a Sales leadership role.
Driving Team Productivity and Performance Metrics
Sales Pipeline Management (e.g., Familiarity with dynamics 365 CRM systems and sales processes are advantageous.
Relevant certifications in sales management or leadership (e.g., Certified Sales Professional) are advantageous.
Familiarity with the Oil/Gas/Energy or Fuel industries is advantageous.
