*Key Responsibilities:*

* Weld and fabricate a range of assembly types to specification, working from fabrication or engineering drawings
* Carry out quality inspections, identify defects and take appropriate action to rectify them
* Meet production targets while maximising efficiency
* Ensuring the safe and controlled movement of production parts
* Work as part of a team to develop continuous improvement ideas

*Essential:*
* Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and measuring tools
* 2+ years relevant experience
* Demonstrate good ability in MIG mild steel welding (preferably in heavy engineering)
* Demonstrate understanding of weld plant and weld parameters
* Previous experience working in a range of material thicknesses
* Previous experience in a range of weld positions
* Previous experience using industry standard hand tools e.g. drills grinders etc.
* Demonstrate understanding of fabrication and use of jigs
* Experience of working on own initiative and acting to resolve any issues impacting upon performance
* Knowledge of Health & Safety
