We are seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our team at Maine Group.

Job Summary

As a Welder Fabricator, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating a range of assembly types to specification, working from fabrication or engineering drawings. You will also carry out quality inspections, identify defects, and take appropriate action to rectify them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weld and fabricate a range of assembly types to specification
  • Carry out quality inspections and identify defects
  • Meet production targets while maximising efficiency
  • Ensure the safe and controlled movement of production parts
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and measuring tools
  • 2+ years relevant experience in welding and fabrication
  • Good ability in MIG mild steel welding (preferably in heavy engineering)
  • Understanding of weld plant and weld parameters
  • Previous experience working in a range of material thicknesses
  • Previous experience in a range of weld positions
  • Previous experience using industry standard hand tools
