Job Specification: QA Consultant (Inside IR35) Location: Belfast
Contract Duration: 6 Months (Potential for Extension)
We are seeking an experienced QA Consultant to join our client’s team in Belfast. This role will focus on quality assurance for a Java-based project. Strong skills in Linux and SQL are essential, while any knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) would be advantageous. Experience with AWS would also be considered. Perform quality assurance testing on a Java-based project, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the system.
Use SQL to query and validate large datasets to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Work with big query platforms to test data processing and ensure the system handles large-scale data operations efficiently.
Manage and maintain test environments, particularly within Linux operating systems.
Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver quality results.
Provide feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement of the testing process.
Proven experience in QA testing for Java-based projects.
Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation and testing purposes.
Solid knowledge of Linux environments for managing and troubleshooting test environments.
Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for testing in cloud-based environments.
Experience with AWS would also be considered beneficial.
Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern development methodologies, such as Agile.
Contract Details:
Rate: Up to £500 per day, depending on experience
Duration: 6 months initial contract, with potential for extensions based on project demands.
Location: Belfast-based role, with possible hybrid/remote working options.
