Our client is a leading UK fresh produce importer with an exceptional reputation for sourcing premium-quality fruit and salad products from some of the best growers worldwide. Operating 24/7 to meet the demands of their key UK-based customers, this well-established and highly successful company prides itself on delivering excellence across all areas of their business. With ambitious plans for further profitable expansion, they are now seeking a talented and driven Senior Level Wholesale Manager to join their dynamic team.

As the Senior Level Wholesale Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s wholesale operations forward both on the sales and procurement aspects. You will be responsible for managing key customer relationships and ensuring the seamless supply of premium fresh produce to a range of customers across the UK. Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow the wholesale division, ensuring alignment with the overall company objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key wholesale customers, understanding their needs and delivering exceptional service.
Source, negotiate, and manage supply agreements with growers and suppliers to ensure the consistent availability of high-quality fresh produce.
Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities within the wholesale sector.
Oversee your own budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance with agreed and set targets.
Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with extensive experience in wholesale sales/procurement within the fresh produce or food industry. You will have a proven track record of driving growth and profitability in a similar role, along with a deep understanding of the UK wholesale markets.

Significant experience in a senior wholesale management role within the fresh produce sectors.
Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to negotiate and manage supplier agreements.
Comprehensive knowledge of UK wholesale and retail markets, including market trends and competitor activity.
A passion for the fresh produce industry and a commitment to delivering excellence.
