We are actively searching for a Commercial Director to join our Senior Leadership Teamat Wirral Met College for 35 hours per week. We will offer a salary of Circa £68,305 per year plus many added incentives including:

About the Job

  • The role of Commercial Director will assume a central role in shaping the future direction of the college, leveraging a unique opportunity to drive its growth and development. Responsibilities include identifying and implementing strategic initiatives, through market analysis with a primary focus on expanding apprenticeship provision, fostering partnerships with schools, businesses and stakeholders, and exploring innovative revenue streams.
  • The role extends to the vital business areas of marketing, learner recruitment, and overseeing all commercial activities. This comprehensive approach ensures this new innovative role not only contributes to the financial sustainability of the college but also actively engages in building its brand, attracting learners, and creating a dynamic environment that aligns with the evolving needs of the local and regional landscape.

About You

  • Experience of leading and developing further education, skills, and/or related employment/enterprise services at a senior level.
  • Experience of liaising productively with employers to design curriculum that meets their needs and incorporates current industry practice into provision.
  • Experience of significantly improving outcomes for apprentices and evidence thorough understanding of the requirements of apprenticeship programmes both in terms of quality assurance and funding body requirements
  • Management Qualification or relevant experience
  • Proven ability and success in matrix management leading to improved student experience and outcomes
