We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and passionate Business Development Manager to join our Sales team. This role reports to the Head of Sales .
Location : Germany/UK (remote job)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage professional business communications and ongoing cross-functional interactions with clients in Europe, ensuring a high-quality client experience and meeting their expectations.
- Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to senior decision-makers across various client-facing levels.
- Maintain and grow a base of existing accounts, conducting regular reviews, and developing long-term retention and growth strategies.
- Anticipate, understand, and address competitive challenges and market issues impacting client businesses.
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within existing accounts through product, market, and portfolio expansion.
- Drive new business development by identifying potential customers, negotiating, and closing new deals.
- Develop and deliver compelling sales and product presentations and proposals.
- Foster and strengthen relationships with partners and clients.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to EU BDMs, fostering a high-performance and collaborative team culture.
- Build and manage an active sales pipeline to ensure revenue targets are achieved.
- Oversee the entire sales funnel, from lead acquisition to closing deals.
Job competencies & Personal attributes:
- 10+ years of direct sales experience.
- 5+ years of experience in the AgTech sector.
- Fluent in English and German.
- In-depth knowledge of the Europe agriculture market, main players and crops
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technologies clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrated proactivity and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proven track record in leading and managing sales teams, with the ability to motivate and guide teams to achieve targets.
- High energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for driving business growth.
- Excellent planning and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
