An exciting, new board level position has been created for a high-performing Director of Sales & Marketing. This senior travel job will see you work closely with trade partners, OTA's and DMC's. Ideally operating in the attraction or inbound sector of travel and tourism you will be responsible for developing key growth sales strategies and plans.
As Director of Sales & Marketing you will be the face of the business with trade partners, be well networked within the relevant circles so that you can continue to raise the brand with potential new trade partners whilst ensuring existing partners are managed.
The role will require you to identify new strategic partners, including lead generation, pitching to prospective clients, delivering commercials and implementing and onboarding new clients.
Technology will play a key role in growth of the business, therefore it is vital that you have knowledge and understanding of API and XML connectivity. In addition you will be commercially astute and have your finger on the pulse to latest trends and new product lines.
This is a hybrid role but mainly home based as your role will see you meeting clients regularly, combined with representing the business at trade events.
Managing the marketing team you will ensure a highly effective annual marketing campaigns to further support the sales effort and drive business.
As Director of Sales & Marketing , it is vitally important that you are able to quickly adapt to changes in business focus, are able to manage multiple projects and operate in a fast paced and exciting environment.

- Someone that can be both hands on and strategic
- Proven track record of sales delivery
- Exceptional leadership qualities, ability to manage at all levels
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- First hand knowledge of ecommerce and XML/API distribution
- The ability to inspire and work in a fast paced, evolving business
- Proven track record of sales and account management within travel
- Knowledge of the travel, tourism and attraction sector is required
- Manage, develop and maximise revenue opportunities
- Deliver the companies business plan to achieve margin, sales and profits
- Responsible for the annual and monthly sales objectives
- Create and deliver the sales and marketing strategy
- Create a proactive sales culture to drive business
