We're looking for a Head of People (HR) to join our growing team at London City Lionesses.
This is a new position within the business, so the responsibilities are not set in stone. We need someone who can jump in, get things done and work with the senior leadership team to shape the future of the club.
The London City Lionesses are part of the Kynisca group, setting a vision and building an infrastructure in which all the players and staff can thrive.

Role Purpose:
To build the London City Lionesses HR function and drive a winning culture of innovation, high performance and fun. Working across the all teams and partnering with senior leaders of London City Lionesses to shape, develop, and deliver people plans and solutions
Responsibilities:
HR Leadership
- Work with senior management to develop hiring plans to build a high performance team.
- Build career frameworks to develop talent including competency maps, performance pathways and team goal setting.
- Drive a culture of continuous learning, supporting staff with their personal and professional development.
Talent Management
- Develop and launch a refreshed brand for LCL working with external agencies that builds the LCL brand into one of the most exciting and differentiated brands in London and UK women’s football.
- Oversee our media, content, communications and PR teams to manage club media requirements, content and social activity and PR opportunities to grow our brand.
Culture
- Work with the senior leadership to develop a high performance culture
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee and player engagement and wellbeing

Critical Experience
- 8+ years relevant experience in managing the HR functions of a medium sized business – preferably with experience in sport.
- Best practice knowledge in recruiting, people development, organisational culture, performance measurement and leadership.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of building and managing high- performing teams.
- Demonstrated solutions focused and able to work under pressure with own initiative
- Ability to interact and influence proactively with management and staff at all levels of the organisation in the resolution of People issues

- A successful senior leader who has a proven track record of building high performing diverse teams and developing a healthy and inclusive culture.
- Passionate about women’s football and broader women’s sport culture.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to deal with matrix stakeholders & ambiguity.
