Mechanical and Electrical Project Coordinator

Lidl - Head Office is seeking a skilled Mechanical and Electrical Project Coordinator to join their team in the London Office. As a key member of the Warehouse Construction Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Team, you will be involved in the maintenance of refrigeration systems across our warehouses, as well as various stages of new built projects, modernisations, and extensions of our existing property portfolio.

Salary
The successful candidate can expect a salary of £39,600* - £46,200* per annum, plus benefits.
Job Description
You will be responsible for supporting the M&E & Refrigeration planning and project management across various projects, including new build RDCs, extensions, and projects in existing warehouses. This will involve carrying out routine site visits to ensure project progress and quality standards are met, requesting, reviewing, and approving reactive repairs required across our warehouses, and supporting in tendering, appointment, and contract management.
You will also be responsible for assisting in the management of refrigeration service contracts with assistance from external technical specialists, coordinating and managing recurring meetings amongst internal and external stakeholders, reviewing service contract and project milestone payments, and managing and maintaining service tracking software to ensure tasks are complete on time.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in either Engineering, M&E, or Refrigeration.
- Experience in a related role in Construction Engineering is desirable but not essential.
- A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the country when required.
- Professional accreditation (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
- Organised with a pragmatic and analytical approach with attention to detail.
- A strong multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines.
- An excellent communicator who can communicate confidently with people at all levels of the business.
- A team player who can perform tasks independently using their own initiative.
