Technical Sales Manager - Yorkshire and Northwest

This is a full-time remote role for a Technical Sales Manager. As a Technical Sales Manager at Tungaloy-NTK UK, you will be responsible for managing key accounts, providing technical support to customers, and driving sales growth. You will collaborate closely with the sales team and customer service representatives to ensure exceptional service and support throughout the sales process. This role requires excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as a deep understanding of our product offerings and the needs of our target industries.

Area: Yorkshire and Northwest

Ideal Location: Around Leeds, Sheffield, Huddersfield.

Key Accountabilities

  • Be proactive, focused and driven to meet sales targets.
  • Understand, interpret and manage customer requirements with the confidence to negotiate and close sales.
  • Communicate and build repour effectively with our client’s customers.
  • Provide pre-sales and after-sales technical assistance, sharing your knowledge of cutting tools, conducting technical presentations and demonstrating how a cutting tool will meet customer needs.
  • Document cost saving activity and daily use / updating of the CRM system
  • Work with our talented product team to create custom-made products for our customers.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events to generate new contacts and develop existing relationships to enhance our reputation in the market for delivering quality cutting tools that exceed customers expectations.

Candidate

  • You will have had success in selling metal cutting tools or be a time served multi-skilled engineer with a strong knowledge of correctly applying cutting tools.
  • You will have the ability to advise optimum metal removal rates on Milling, Drilling, Grooving, Turning and Threading applications, and reduce the customers cost per part.
  • You should be comfortable reading Engineering drawings and ideally you will have a Mechanical Engineering qualification or will have served a technical apprenticeship.
  • Tungaloy's induction program is superb and whilst excellent support will be given, you should be a disciplined, target driven individual capable of working on your own initiative.
  • Irrespective of whether you have sales experience, you should have first class communication and negotiation skills combined with a winning mentality.

Must haves

  • A valid driver's license.
  • Live in the specified area.
  • Able to read engineering drawings.
  • Strong people skills and time management.

And at least one of the below.

  • 3+ years work experience applying cutting tools on the shop floor.
  • 2+ years work experience selling cutting.
