Regional Finance - Midlands and North Region

Primary Finance Support: Partnering with the Regional Director/MD and their teams on all finance-related matters.
Management Accounts: Interpreting monthly management accounts to provide meaningful analysis and commentary against budgets, forecasts, and previous years’ performance for the respective area, and owning specific P&L lines for a comprehensive business view.
Sales Performance Support: Providing analysis and challenge on the utilisation of the rental fleet, rental rates, transport rates, and 360 products to deliver against budget and forecast targets.
Producing monthly regional/OBU trading and reporting packs with appropriate league tables for depot and sales performance by salesperson.
Preparing quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for all depots and regional functions, delivering insight and analysis to identify and communicate long-term trends to key stakeholders.
Supporting the identification and implementation of initiatives across the business, including preparing business cases with robust financial models.
Providing robust financial analysis of the Delivery & Installation part of the P&L and helping identify cost-saving or margin-enhancing opportunities.
Monitoring maintenance costs per unit and challenging production efficiency in the end-to-end yard process to drive optimal cost per unit type.
Contract Profitability: Supporting the financial accounting teams by providing operational insight into the month-end numbers and supplementary analysis required for external reporting.
In addition to regional business partnering, FP&A requirements across the P&L covering Sales, Cost of Sales (GPC), Cost to Serve (D&I), SG&A, working capital, and Capex.


Strong analytical skills & ability to manipulate large data sets
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong commercial acumen
