Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Partner to join our team in the Midlands and North Region. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial support and analysis to our Regional Director/MD and their teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis: Interpreting monthly management accounts to provide meaningful analysis and commentary against budgets, forecasts, and previous years' performance for the respective area, and owning specific P&L lines for a comprehensive business view.
  • Sales Performance Support: Providing analysis and challenge on the utilisation of the rental fleet, rental rates, transport rates, and 360 products to deliver against budget and forecast targets.
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Producing monthly regional/OBU trading and reporting packs with appropriate league tables for depot and sales performance by salesperson, and preparing quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for all depots and regional functions.
  • Business Improvement: Supporting the identification and implementation of initiatives across the business, including preparing business cases with robust financial models, and providing robust financial analysis of the Delivery & Installation part of the P&L and helping identify cost-saving or margin-enhancing opportunities.
  • Contract Profitability: Supporting the financial accounting teams by providing operational insight into the month-end numbers and supplementary analysis required for external reporting.
  • FP&A Requirements: Covering Sales, Cost of Sales (GPC), Cost to Serve (D&I), SG&A, working capital, and Capex.

Requirements:

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to manipulate large data sets and provide meaningful analysis and commentary.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills: Proficient in using Excel to analyze and present data.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of commercial principles and ability to apply them in a business context.
