ECHO HOUSE Senior Print Production Manager

Reporting to: Head of Print Production

Echo House is a market leader specialising in Creative & Technical Design, Artworking, Printing, Experiential Brand Activation, and Sustainable Production.

Scope of the Role:

Production Managers play a pivotal role at Echo House; bridging the Project Team and Production Departments and offering experienced advice on appropriate production methods, governed by brand identities. The Senior Production Manager position includes remaining as an active and key production manager, whilst specifically taking on a more significant role within the team, in direct support of the Production Team Manager. This entails observing and resolving department and companywide wide risks and opportunities, including escalating to the Senior Management and Director Teams where appropriate. In addition, ensuring the consistent and cohesive workflow of all works from the Project Team to the Studio and Production so that individual jobs and major projects alike are delivered exactly to brand specification – on time and on budget.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

UNIVERSAL

  • Operating with integrity – performing whole and complete work for and with all Echo
  • colleagues, clients and suppliers alike.
  • Ensuring Echo House maintains its status as an industry leading team of dynamic, proactive & professional specialists.
  • In depth training is provided as a core part of all new starters’ induction. In addition, with such a nuanced and bespoke business, on–the–job learning remains the single most effective way to learn what we do and how we do it.

TEAM LIAISON

  • Working closely with Project Team to plan and drive project timelines.
  • Advising on suitable materials and production techniques for relevant works, in particular considering sustainability, brand nuances and budgets.
  • Collaborating closely with the Project Team to ensure Works Orders are accurate & appropriate.
  • Initiating and playing an active role in preliminary project and production kick off meetings with relevant individuals & departments.
  • Initiating wrap up meetings with relevant individuals & departments.
  • Being a standard bearer for the production management team, and the print factory as a whole. The includes being prepared to hold colleagues to account where appropriate.

PRODUCTION PLANNING

  • Attending and actively participating in Best Practice meetings.
  • Preparing for and actively participating in Production Management Meetings with all production departments.
  • Collaborating with all production departments, including the studio and project teams, to ensure our client expectations are fulfilled and wherever possible surpassed.
  • Monitoring production capacity and communicating effectively to ensure success.
  • Active collaboration with the Print Production Resource Manager to monitor and develop best practice.
  • Reviewing and maintaining Monday.com, including the active assessment and the education of Works Orders on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintaining stock levels and ordering sufficient supplies where necessary.

WORKFLOW

  • Collaborating with the Project Team to brief the Design & Studio Teams on specific jobs & projects.
  • Communicating with all Echo House teams, ensuring all job specifics and brand identities are fulfilled as required.
  • Operating as the key Quality Control officer for all your works, whilst holding the Echo Standard for the wider team.
  • Wherever possible, being the final point of control for your works. Alternatively, providing an effective handover to a qualified individual.

INSTALLATION & LOGISTICS

  • Working with the Packing and Logistics Team to ensure items are packed as required and spreadsheets are provided clearly and briefed accurately to the Packing and Logistics Team.
  • Working with installation teams to support with communication and ensure an efficient handover.
  • Working with the junior Production Admin to ensure items are ready for the install team.
  • Support with the planning for distribution to the installation network and ensure logistics are arranged accordingly, in close collaboration with the Project Team.

FINANCIAL & COMMERCIAL MANAGEMENT

  • Ensure projects are run to their maximum efficiency with regards to lead times, material selection, quality control and wastage with attention to brand identities & sustainability.

AD HOC

  • Echo is a dynamic, busy company with a close working team and as such we sometimes require our employees to work on additional bespoke projects outside of their daily duties. This is also aimed to encourage and broaden individual skills and ambitions.
  • To perform other reasonable tasks as required by the Directors or your department head.
  • Follow and promote to colleagues, visitors and the public all health and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Follow Echo’s sustainability policies and procedures. Promote sustainable operations to colleagues, clients and suppliers.

GENERAL
