Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The purpose of the role is to:

• Support the development and continuous improvement of programme governance and assurance reviews and events to enable smooth and effective decision-making.
  • Provide effective secretariat support for NHP's senior boards and some committees improving consistency of approach and standardisation, liaising with the Secretariats in NHS England and the Sponsor Team with regards wider NHP governance.
• Provide advice and support across the programme on NHS England's corporate governance to ensure it is appropriately reflected in NHP policies, frameworks and processes and aligns to sponsor team requirements.

Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
  • Experience of working in programme or corporate governance and providing a Secretariat service to governance forums.
  • Experience of undertaking an assurance role, for example internal audit, programme assurance reviews of second line of defence functions.
