The role: We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their already established team supporting young people with additional needs. Due to the nature of the role the school is ideally looking for a Teaching Assistant OR individuals that have relevant experience working with pupils in a School, Youth Centre, Residential care setting or similar role. Each day will be different from the last therefore being adaptable is very important. Key responsibilities for a Learning Support Assistant:

  • Building nurturing and meaningful relationships with pupils with SEND
  • Experience and a good understanding of behaviour management and how to implement this into your practice
  • Understand the different requirements of individual SEN and adapt accordingly
Requirements for a Learning Support Assistant:
  • Experience working with young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, colleagues, and parents effectively.
  • Additional skills such as Sport, Music and Art are a bonus
