Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Blackpool. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with additional needs to promote their learning and development.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing general classroom support, delivering high-quality interventions, and nurturing each pupil's needs in a calm and professional manner. You will work closely with the teaching staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans, ensuring that each child's cognitive, social, and emotional needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with additional needs in the classroom and during interventions
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans in collaboration with teaching staff
  • Provide general classroom support, including managing daily schedules and ensuring a safe learning environment
  • Work closely with key workers to discuss each child's individual needs and progress
  • Plan and deliver focused learning opportunities for individual children and carry out focused tasks from individual SEND action plans
Requirements:
  • GCSE or A-Level qualifications or equivalent are required
  • Qualifications relevant to the job are desirable but not required
  • Care worker background is desirable
