We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to join our procurement team. You will be responsible for coordinating purchasing activities across departments, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of components and materials to meet production schedules. This role is key to supplier management, cost optimisation, and maintaining accurate procurement data.
Coordinate purchasing activities in line with MRP requirements and production schedules.
Evaluate supplier quotations to ensure best value and quality.
Expedite deliveries and escalate supply issues to senior buyer or purchasing manager.
Support urgent sourcing needs for immediate production requirements.
Act as first-line support for delivery delays and production shortages.
Maintain accurate procurement data and resolve invoice, delivery, or quality disputes.
Share market intelligence with internal teams (e.g., Assist in supply base optimisation and implementation of procurement strategies.
It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
3–5 years’ experience in procurement, supply chain, or related roles.
Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply and CIPS membership (desirable but not essential).
Experience in electronics manufacturing or Contract Electronics Manufacturing (CEM) preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and MRP systems.
