Business Development Executive - PPE / Workwear

Location: Yorkshire or the North East

Salary: £35-38,000 OTE 20%, with a mobile phone, laptop, pension, 25 days holiday, company discounts and a hybrid company car

  • Field sales role covering the North East down to Lincoln
  • Established for over 30 years, British company with a global reputation and household name brand
  • Dealing with new and existing customers, growing the PPE / Workwear division
  • Selling to Merchants, Agriculture and Industrial End Users
  • Excellent package including your choice of a company car or car allowance

The Role: We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for managing and developing relationships across the North East down to the East Midlands with merchants, agriculture and industrial customers, selling a full range of PPE and workwear. They are a member of the NMBS so the there is a full contact list for you to engage with. There will be about 2 days a month staying away due to the size of the territory and for sales team meetings.

Key Responsibilities for the Business Development Executive:

  • Consistently achieve monthly sales targets
  • Set and initiate growth plans for the future of the territory
  • Prospect, identify and nurture your own pipeline
  • Ensure high levels of customer service and establish strong relationships with customers
  • Ensure good administration and maximise efficiency and service
  • Follow through on all opportunities
  • Book your own appointments and manage your time effectively
  • Journal plan to ensure minimal time in the car
  • Introduce new products to your customer base
  • Produce weekly sales reports
  • Take customers to the showroom in the North West to present products
  • Where possible reduce travel/accommodation costs

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

· Workwear experience (either manufacturer or selling to end user)

· Experience selling to merchants/specialist agricultural distribution

· You must be results oriented and can work independently, you must be focused on securing new clients, retaining and growing a profitable account base

· A strong communicator with well-developed presentation, negotiation and rapport-building skills

Desired Skills and Experience

· Workwear experience (either manufacturer or selling to end users)

· You must be results oriented and can work independently, you must be focused on securing new clients, retaining and growing a profitable account base
