Ocean Fintech is a company that deploys capital into SMEs with an innovative trade program to help them with their imports, inventory, and global supply chain. We act as a trading partner to provide businesses with international cross-border supply chain capital between $10k and $10m with 0% interest and no hidden charges, charging a low flat fee. Our program is structured in two ways: Open Credit and Stock and Release Program.


Role Description

This is a 6 month internship followed by a full-time remote role for a Sales and Marketing Intern. The Sales and Marketing Intern will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including communicating with customers, providing customer service, sales, training, and sales management. This role extends beyond customer sales and into investor relations.


Responsibilities:

  • Organize and coordinate investor and sales events, including conferences, seminars, and networking opportunities.
  • Develop compelling pitch decks, investment memos, and other presentation materials for potential investors.
  • Assist in preparing for fundraising roadshows, including scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and managing logistics.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential investors, customers and business development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify leads, prospects, and opportunities for strategic partnerships.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings with prospective investors, customers and follow up on inquiries.
  • Assist in maintaining investor databases and CRM systems.
  • Provide general administrative support to the investor relations and sales teams as needed.


Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience in sales and sales management
  • Ability to create and deliver effective training materials
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Experience in the fintech industry is a plus
