Bid Director (or Senior Bid Manager) - £40k to £60k
Bidding Limited, a leading UK Bid Consultancy, is recruiting for a Bid Director (or possibly a Senior Bid Manager).
This role can be remote, hybrid, or office based. Our offices are in Leeds and Edinburgh.
This is a full time role (37.5 hours per week) with a salary range of between £40k and £60k (dependant on experience and whether the role is filled at Senior Bid Manager or Bid Director level).
- Reports to: Principal Bid Director
- Supported by: Principal Bid Director
- Supports: Peers, Bid Writers, Bid Managers, Senior Bid Managers
Responsibilities
The Bid Director is responsible for providing leadership, quality assurance, compliance assurance, and the production, where appropriate, of bid projects, as appointed by the capacity management team within the Bidding Limited Operations Group.
Bid Directors perform a vital role at Bidding Limited, in ensuring that the bids we produce are of the highest quality, and that customer interaction is well managed to build ongoing positive relationships. You will be expected to provide leadership for bids, ensuring our processes are observed, and that submissions are high quality and compliant.
In addition, Bid Directors form part of the Senior Management Team and have responsibility for communicating the company’s values and mission to others within the bid team. This includes leading by example in terms of both commitment to excellence and personal qualities. You may also be asked to lead corporate projects that lead to change and improvement in our ways of working and culture.
You will be expected to act as Project Lead in the production of bids for clients across different sectors, managing several projects simultaneously with an allocated team of Senior Bid Managers, Bid Managers, and Writers. As part of the Bidding Limited operations team, you will have significant freedom to determine how to spend your time, within the framework of the projects set out by the Principal Bid Director, whilst providing core leadership and driving culture across the team.
You will also line manage a number of Bid Managers and/or Bid Writers.
If this post is filled at Senior Bid Manager level, the responsibilities will be largely as described above, but with a recognition that you likely have less experience than a Bid Director. As such you will have live bid projects assigned to you suited to your experience and you will be supported as needed by our Bid Directors. The progression route from the role of Senior Bid Manager would usually be to Bid Director.
