Operational Trainer | Remote | Maternity cover


The role of operational trainer is aligned to the Experis brand and offered on a 12-month Maternity Cover. The role supports the continued skills development of the various teams across Experis and the wider ManpowerGroup. Primarily this role will focus on the development of the Consultant community but will also be expected to support in the design and delivery of training within cross brand programmes. The individual will be reporting to the Operational Learning and Development Manager and will be required to work closely with Brand Operational stakeholders and the broader Learning & Development Team to ensure consistency of approach.

The person


  • Extensive experience of large-scale recruitment organisations
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and upskilling individuals
  • Evidence of people engagement particularly in relation to change
  • Sector and market SME level knowledge and experience to be a highly effective communicator at all levels and quickly install confidence in your experience and authority as a trainer
  • Influencing P&L’s without direct responsibility and understanding the different elements that drive high performance
  • Leverage data and analytics generated to measure and improve impact of interventions
  • Deep understanding or the capacity to develop a deep understanding of the ManpowerGroup service lines and products.


The role

  • The successful individual will need to be experienced in the full recruitment cycle and comfortable (but not necessarily experienced) in both virtual and face to face delivery of training with an understanding of the nuances of both and adapting style where needed
  • They will play a key role in the successful onboarding and induction of all new starters in addition to the upskilling and development of existing employees. They will partner with Senior Leadership and Management teams and through regular communication and meetings ensure performance progress is being made and any gaps in knowledge are quickly identified and addressed
  • The role will enable the successful candidate to drive performance for the organisation and play a key part in upskilling our teams Beyond this, the successful applicant will have a genuine passion and desire to support our employees to discover their personal best at ManpowerGroup
  • This role is a home-based role with national travel when required, as you would expect in a key learning development role
