Role Overview:
The Key Account Manager is a new and pivotal role within Diverse Fine Food, integral to our growth strategy. You will manage key customer accounts across various sectors, including Fine Food Retail, Hotels, Cafes, Delis, Travel, Restaurants, and Bars, with the aim of retaining and expanding both relationships and revenue.
In addition to managing existing accounts, you will also be responsible for generating new business. Many accounts will have previously traded with us at a low level or in the past, so this is not typically a cold-calling scenario but will still requires focus and tenacity
You will be expected to meet business targets for both existing and new customers. Support will be provided through collaboration with colleagues and brand owners. As an active and vocal team player, you will share best practices and champion our brands. The role focuses on expanding distribution and building strong, value-adding relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with brands to deliver new distribution through face-to-face engagement with trade customers.
- Develop and achieve commercial objectives for key customers, focusing on ROS and distribution.
- Build relationships with key contacts, including trade staff, buyers, and influencers.
- Prepare joint business plans and long-term strategies with customers.
- Proactively identify and drive new business opportunities.
- Organise tastings at key customer locations by working closely with the relevant brand partners.
- Participate in events to promote Diverse Fine Food and its brands.
- Track and report sales by account/brand to identify and address issues and opportunities.
- Use our CRM system to report customer/lead contact and develop future business pipelines and activity reports.

Experience Requirements:
- Essential: Field sales/account management experience.
- Desirable: Background in retail/sales/hospitality (not essential).
