Taylor Woodrow is the sole provider of Lot 3 - Western Geotechnical Off-Track and Drainage - as part of Network Rail Wales and Western region’s £2bn programme of works.


The Lot stretches from London Paddington to Penzance and involves the ongoing maintenance & renewals programme of civil engineering assets such as embankments, cuttings, scour protection, and earthworks drainage.


As part of this project, we are currently looking to recruit a Senior Possession Planner/Safe System of Work Planner with Rail Experience to take responsibility for access planning and all associated documentation for the schemes across the region.


Duties:

  • Represent the organisation within stakeholder meeting with Network rail
  • Assist in the preparation & input of integrated access submissions
  • Responsible for safe work packs
  • Ensure agreements & publication of project access, electrification isolation, operational & engineering requirements via Network Rail planning systems.
  • Liaise with site teams on all Access planning matters.
  • Managing possession schedule and supporting information.
  • Ensure possession, isolation & protection requests are submitted in line with Network Rail planning timescales and relevant format.
  • Planning of possession/protection arrangements.
  • Monitor / record / highlight any possession planning changes.
  • Prepare safety critical documentation in line with railway group standards.
  • Ensure that all aspects of safety are taken into consideration when planning a project.
  • Submission of line block requests.


Person Specification

  • PPS planning access experience
  • SSOW planning qualification Core Level 2
  • PTS
  • Trained and certificated as competent as Controller of Site Safety [COSS]
  • Must have a good understanding of the Network Rail Rule Book
  • Knowledge of the Western route is an advantage
