Pastry Chef – Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Head Pastry Chef and Chef Owners to develop and execute an innovative dessert menu.
  • Oversee daily pastry operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and high standards.
  • Maintain Nela's commitment to food quality, presentation, and sustainability.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
  • Monitor financial performance, managing budgets and costs without compromising quality.
  • Play a key role in shaping the culture and success of Nela London's opening and beyond.

To Thrive in This Role, You'll Need:

  • A strong background as a Pastry Chef in a high-end pastry kitchen
  • Minimum 2/3 years of experience as Pastry CDP minimum
  • A can do attitude
  • Knowledge of modern pastry techniques, with a creative approach to flavour and presentation.
  • Experience in a high-end à la carte restaurant with a focus on plated desserts.
  • Able to work as part of a small team (3-4 pastry chefs)
  • Able to execute the vision of the head pastry chef
  • Pre-opening experience is an advantage.
  • A hands-on, problem-solving approach, thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Be located in the UK and have full work rights.
