Junior Analyst

We are looking for a self-motivated, data-driven person, with an interest in music to join our business.

I Like Music is the only official Master Music Library for legal B2B music in the UK and we provide commercial grade music & licensing support to clients across the TV, radio, advertising, retail & hospitality, and entertainment sectors. We also integrate with B2B platforms and apps looking for a fully licensed business music library.  

As part of the ILM team, you will develop a detailed understanding of the diverse needs of our wide client base to optimise customer satisfaction and long-term retention. 

Responsibilities

· Supporting our client services team to:

  • ensure the ongoing needs of long-term contract clients are being monitored and met.
  • respond to client requests for new and/or specialised music content.
  • respond with any other client deliverables.   

· Understanding & verifying new music content release data.

· Categorising new music content according to various criteria, including by genre, lyrics and mood.

· Analysing music metadata & internal database data, including comparing data sets.

· Supporting with revenue growth by analysing customer behaviour, to help the client services team develop segmented sales & marketing strategies.  

· Supporting the Music Services team in delivering bulk music content to B2B clients.

· Having the flexibility to support different functions across the business as the need arises, including our Music Services, Client Services and Technical teams.

Key requirements

Qualifications and Experience

·        Strong data analytics skills.

·        Experience of using Microsoft Excel essential.

·        SQL experience helpful but not essential. 

·        Interest in music/experience of a music business helpful but not essential.

·        The right to work in the UK.

Skills and attributes

·        Strong inter-personal skills and experience of working with data sets.

·        Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

·        Very self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

·        Entrepreneurial and comfortable in a growing and changing SME environment.
