We’re building a creatively-led internal team to help the Newcastle Building Society in its exciting next phase of growth. The copywriter role is key to the success of this team as we tell the story of the purpose-led, member-owned Society.
We believe that everyone deserves a home and to have the opportunity to save and plan for their future. At Newcastle Building Society, that is what we do. We are committed to the people and places in our region and we’re proud to help our communities achieve a better financial future. We have an exciting and very rare opportunity for you to be a vital part of that too.
Working with designers and the wider marketing team, you’ll create high quality work across all mediums for campaigns and customer communications. Your work will carry a positive message for the region, promoting our commitment to high streets and communities, and showcasing our latest and greatest products.
A vital part of the role is to own, implement and champion the brand’s tone of voice. We’re looking for someone who will embrace the challenge of developing and revolutionising the way we communicate. You’ll need an eye for detail and the skills to make sure everything we say is consistent.
The work will be varied and you’ll often have to manage several projects at once. In any week you can find yourself working on a launch positioning for a new branch, helping improve an online journey or working on the next product launch.
Responsibilities:
- Own the tone of voice and champion great communication across the organisation.
- Help create marketing communications, customer communications and website content to support brand and commercial objectives.
- Provide specialist copy and written communication advice and support to the Marketing department, the wider business, and other key stakeholders.
- Produce compelling creative copy and concepts for all our marketing communications – B2C and B2B, across all necessary channels.
About You:
We are looking for candidates who bring creative flair, a passion for writing, and demonstrable understanding of brand communications. You will be an excellent communicator able to take a brief and get to the heart of the problem you are trying to solve for your stakeholders, using your expertise and experience to provide recommendations for solutions that meet the clients’ needs.
You will have excellent time management skills and will manage client/stakeholder expectations with clear communications of timescales and advising the impact of any changes to brief on costs and timescales.
