We are looking for someone with strong hands on industrial laboratory skills and experience in HPLC and/or ICP and is ready for a new challenge with excellent development opportunities.

The Role:

  • Overseeing analysis using Chromatography and ICP
  • Preparing and analysing samples for our clients using a variety of instruments including: HPLC/UV/ECD, IC and ICP etc
  • Reporting analytical results and cross checks as required and in line with lab operating procedures
  • Checking and authorising reports written by Laboratory Analysts
  • Completing routine laboratory support functions as part of the wider team including general housekeeping, apparatus cleaning and maintenance
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving where required
  • Following the company quality system requirements including compliance with ISO 17025 (UKAS Accredited)


Requirements:

  • Relevant scientific degree or equivalent hands on experience in a similar field
  • Experience of running HPLC and ICP instrumentation within a commercial lab
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Experience of working efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience of a range of ICT including Microsoft Office and databases
  • Punctual, reliable and aims for high standards in their work
  • Works well as part of a small team
  • Supervisory experience or delegating workloads would be beneficial but not essential
