Company Description

Physically present at the heart of innovation, Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (M.A.D.E) is located in our bespoke design studio in Banbury.


The primary objective of M.A.D.E, which forms part of the Mahindra Global Design Network, is to conceive and create Mahindra EVs and advanced vehicle design concepts, as well as overseeing production programmes.


M.A.D.E is equipped with state-of-the-art design tools, enabling it to handle end-to-end design activities including conceptualisation, 3D digital and physical modelling, A-Class surfacing, digital visualisation, and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) design.


It also incorporates a complete CMF suite and clay modelling studio, as well as physical presentation areas.


Role Description

Using your strong proven skills, you will be responsible for taking our designs to the next stage. Working closely with our Engineering teams across the globe, you will use your expertise to problem solve, whilst staying true to our design integrity, to build the vehicles of the future.


Acting as a conduit for the M.A.D.E studio, you will represent design, communicating design intent to our engineering teams, documenting feasibility, identifying and raising critical issues.


You will be solutions focused, generating viable resolutions for technical challenges. Able to transfer and describe engineering and key legislative requirements to design, you will translate engineering requirements into design possibilities. You will also be confident to present and articulate key issues to senior stakeholders.


Skills, Experience & Attributes

  • Complete vehicle/architecture engineering knowledge
  • Competent use of CATIA, Teamcenter and A2MAC essential
  • Ability to work individually as well as in cross-functional teams
  • A working knowledge of component manufacturing, tooling requirements and lead times would be advantageous
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An understanding of engineering and validation processes for vehicle components and systems would be desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
