Viewpoint Technical Lead/Architect - up to £130,000 - fully remote (option for hybrid with offices located in London and Amsterdam)


Our client is seeking a ViewPoint Technical Lead/Architect to join their team, on a fully remote/or hybrid basis. This is an exciting opportunity to have an integral part in shaping and implementing the technical architecture for their core client platform.


As a Technical Lead/Architect, you'll lead the development of product specifications and oversee the product development process. Your primary goal will be to ensure that these specifications translate into a functional, high-performing product. Within this position, you'll collaborate closely with third-party developers and internal teams, ensuring seamless alignment between the technology solutions and the company's business objectives.


This role requires strong expertise in ViewPoint system design principles, strong problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the business. You can expect your focus to be on enhancing the platform’s functionality and efficiency, while also guiding the product's evolution in line with changing requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Architectural Leadership: Design and maintain the architectural framework for ViewPoint installations, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with business goals.
  • Guide the selection and integration of key technology components and frameworks.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Act as a technical advisor and mentor to both internal and external teams.
  • Regularly communicate your architectural vision to stakeholders, ensuring everyone is aligned on the direction and progress of projects.
  • System Integration & Security: Lead efforts to integrate various systems and applications, focusing on smooth data flow and performance optimization.
  • Implement robust security protocols to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with industry standards.
  • Product Evolution: Oversee the continuous improvement of the product, ensuring that development teams adhere to plans and deliver high-quality features in line with Scrum processes.


What You’ll Bring:


Technical Expertise:

  • Extensive experience with ViewPoint Connect is essential.
  • 10+ years in system architecture or software development roles.
  • Proficiency in a range of technologies, including SQL, Python, and cloud platforms.
  • Strong grasp of architectural styles like microservices, SOA, and event-driven architecture.


Leadership & Project Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, with a focus on operational improvements.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.


Global Perspective:

  • Experience working with global teams, ensuring seamless collaboration across regions.


Communication Skills:

  • Excellent ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Fluency in professional English, both written and verbal.


About the Team:

You'll be joining the Operations Technology team, which drives the operational excellence of key service delivery applications across our clients Corporate & Fund Services. They translate market demands into actionable strategies, ensuring their applications are aligned with both current and future business needs. This team's focus areas include Entity Management, Document Management Systems, Client KYC, Client Accounting, and Workflow Management.
