We are currently hiring for a HR Manager on behalf of a client in Canterbury. The client works in steel manufacturing and belongs to a global enterprise headquartered in the Middle East. This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR Manager looking for a new challenge at a growing multinational company.
The role is office based in Canterbury with a salary of £54,000 per year. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of all HR practices and strategies on the UK side of the business. Previous experience managing recruitment processes, employee relations, performance monitoring and learning and development is essential. Ideally, candidates will have a background in the manufacturing industry in the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Establish performance indicators with managers and review processes.
- Support employees to improve performance and progress through career paths.
- Identify training needs and conduct sessions for employees.
- Provide administrative support for compensation, benefits and pension schemes.
- Ensure company policies adhere to UK regulations.
- Continuously develop HR strategies to align with overall business objectives.
- Manage budgets and ensure cost effectiveness within the department.
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in an HR role.
- Qualifications and/or educational background in HR.
- Previous experience in the manufacturing industry would be a huge bonus.
- Deep understanding of UK employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills.
