Technical Project Manager - Telephony & IP Phone Platform Migrations

99% remote - Warwick



Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead large-scale telephony and IP phone platform migration projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with business colleagues, site owners, and delivery partners. This is a 6-month contract role with a primary focus on implementation and closure to ensure a safe exit from the existing shared platform as part of a divestment initiative.


Responsibilities:

  • Telephony and IP Phone Platform Migrations:
  • Plan, execute, and oversee the migration of telephony systems and IP phone platforms on a national scale.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Ensure seamless transition from the existing platform to the new infrastructure.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and technical challenges related to telephony migrations.
  • Requirements Tracking and Documentation:
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and track detailed requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor progress against requirements and address any deviations promptly.
  • Attention to Detail:
  • Pay meticulous attention to project details, timelines, and milestones.
  • Identify potential risks and proactively address them.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices.
  • Collaboration:
  • Engage with business colleagues, site owners, and delivery partners to align project goals.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Facilitate regular status meetings and progress updates.
  • Implementation and Closure:
  • Lead the implementation phase, ensuring successful execution of migration plans.
  • Coordinate testing, user acceptance, and deployment activities.
  • Safely exit from the existing shared platform as part of the divestment process.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in IT, project management, or a related technical role.
  • Excellent leadership abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer literacy, including familiarity with telephony systems and IP phone platforms.
  • Experience with large-scale migrations and utilities industry knowledge is highly desirable.
