Essential Function


• Wholesale Manager assumes the responsibility of planning, implementing, and overseeing sales activities. A pivotal role in achieving the sales targets and generating revenue for the company. A strong passion for outdoor and fashion industry is essential.

• Be willing to join the company events, and activations to build Snow Peak community internationally. Represent Snow Peak within the broader outdoor industry.

• Organize and manage the seasonal pre order sales book and Snow Peak’s presence at tradeshows and sales events. 


Essential Responsibilities


• Sales forecasting/targets

a. Work with the Managing Director to set realistic sales goals and strategies that promote steady growth.

b. Establish and maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.

c. Strategically analyze and formulate growth and new opportunities.

d. Set clear, individual territory targets within the wholesale channel

e. Ensure the proper tools and support are in place for our b2b customers to achieve the planned sell through, support and manage the broader events schedule and 

• Management of the wholesale channel

a. Communicate goals and strategies to the team

b. Communicate and liaise with the Buying and Merchandise manger to update the OTS stock levels and 

c. Evaluation of performance and management of territory agents where appropriate, analyze performance and provide feedback and training support where appropriate.

• Develop strategic partnerships

a. Determining key partnerships in conjunction with the Managing Director and Head of Digital to develop partnerships, collaborations and mutual promotions

• Develop sales strategy

a. Work with the GM and Head of Digital to implement the sales strategy including product focus, product launch, promotions, etc.

b. Direct market channel development activity and coordinate sales distribution.

c. Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and promotional strategy to produce highest possible long term market share.

d. Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

• Shop-in-Shops

a. Targeting and negotiating with key accounts to partner on Shop-in-Shops

b. Directing the event team on shop-in-shop partnerships, strategy and goals.

• Tradeshows

a. Coordinate/plan with sales team and agents, Snow Peaks attendance at and direct the marketing and setup for execution of Gear and Apparel tradeshows.

b. Seek out new sales channels/tradeshows.

 Qualifications Education:

A Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or business administration or equivalent number of years of experience.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of related experience with progressive management experience.


Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proven experience in a similar role within other high-end outdoor/fashion companies or proven success as Wholesale Manager. 

• Business Acumen

• Experience with Sage or SAP (Preferred).

• Experience working with distribution providers (3PLs) (Preferred).

• Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications.

• Detail oriented with commitment to delivering high quality results.

• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to meet objectives and deadlines.

• Understanding of an outdoor lifestyle and trends in outdoor apparel and fashion
