Principal Enterprise Architect - Retail & E-Commerce


La Fosse are working with a leading retail and e-commerce organisation seeking a Principal Architect to lead their Enterprise Architecture team across EMEA.


You'll lead and mentor a team of around 8–10 Enterprise Architects, each managing domains like infrastructure, data, commerce, payments, ERP, and store operations. The current architecture maturity level is relatively low so this individual will help to to mature the function, managing both resource demand and team performance.


About the Role:

  • Drive forward their multi-cloud strategy and implement standardised outputs (bringing EA's out into more strategic work)
  • Oversee the governance for high-impact projects, including: network migrations, replacement of legacy commerce platforms, ERP implementations, and development of in-store applications.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience managing and developing Enterprise Architecture teams, ideally in fast-paced, large-scale B2C environments.
  • A strong background in application architecture and driving scalable solutions.
  • A track record of delivering results across multiple simultaneous projects.


This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days per week in the London office.
