SUMMARY


Capilaux is working with an engineering business specialising in providing hard FM services for commercial properties across the South of England.


The business is looking for a strategically minded Head of Sales, who has a well built network, proven sales track record and the ability to mentor a high-performance team of dedicated sales professionals.


This position will be based in Southampton on a hybrid basis, with the expectation of spending 1 day per week in office, and the remainder of time visiting clients across the south region.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead, motivate, and manage the account management and business development teams to achieve sales targets in accordance with the company business plan.

• Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members to help them reach their full potential.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the sales department.

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve annual revenue and GP targets

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships to maximise sales growth.

• Create and execute strategic account plans to drive long-term success and customer satisfaction.

• Oversee bid management processes, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions that align with client needs and company objectives.

• Build and maintain strong genuine relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to address client concerns, resolve issues, and drive customer satisfaction via net promoter score.

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team and regularly monitor progress against targets against business plan.

• Analyse sales data and trends to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions. • Prepare regular reports and presentations providing insights into sales performance and opportunities for growth.

• Ensure sales activities align with the company's objectives: For-the people, premium, protection, precision, profit, and planet.

• Champion initiatives that promote sustainability, ethical practices, and social responsibility within the sales department and across the organisation.

• Manage business development spend budgets.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES ESSENTIAL

• Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, with a focus on exceeding revenue targets and building high-performing teams.

• Strong understanding of sales processes, techniques, and best practices.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.

• Experience in the FM industry or similar sector is desirable.


DESIREABLE

• HNC or HND in Building Services Engineering

• Experience using Hubspot
