We are working with a leading top tier contractor who are looking to add to their team on a £300M new build project, working to a 3year program and only just underway. You will be managing the onsite delivery team over a range of builds Commercial/Educational/ Engineering & Fabrication, taking them out of the ground to completion. Including Steel & RC Frame, and oversight of significant M&E packages (managed by the specialist contractor). You will be reporting to the PD who reports to MD.



You will:


  • Lead from the front to ensure there is a robust construction control plan in place which is up to date, appropriate for the work being undertaken (supported by a team of specialist planners).
  • Establish a robust monitoring and review process to track project performance and risk with a view to identifying and mitigating issues early.
  • Lead on Project Review Meetings to provide a transparent update on progress, challenges and opportunities to the PD and key stake holders.
  • Monitor and approve cost targets and financial forecasts in conjunction with the commercial team to maximise profitability without compromising safety and compliance.
  • Establish accurate and appropriate digital documentation of project decision making and activity - including the 'golden thread' of information containing matters affecting the building performance, including fire and structural safety information.
  • Ensure all work is undertaken safely with a relentless focus on Zero Harm
  • Proactively manage and engage with the Client who are integrated in the project team, to ensure statutory obligations are fulfilled; understand sustainability priorities, ensure targets are set and a plan in place to deliver sustainability objectives. Managing expectations, and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Ensure a resource plan is developed and maintained for the duration of the project lifecycle and competent resource is recruited or procured to ensure safe and successful delivery ·



You will have/be:

A Degree or equivalent experience.

A strong people leader able to get the best out of individuals and the collective team.

Technically competent with a proven track record in managing and leading Building projects (£50M-100M+)

Be eligible to obtain Security Clearance
