Finance Director Job Description

CMA Recruitment Group is partnering with a high-growth, market-leading business in West Berkshire, specialising in the sale, rental, and servicing of vehicles and machinery for the industrial sector. This c£30m company, having recently secured Private Equity investment, is seeking a dynamic Finance Director to support its ambitious development and expansion goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead financial due diligence on potential acquisitions and integration activities.
  • Develop and manage a small finance function, focusing on capacity building and process improvement.
  • Manage capital for growth investment and ensure cost-benefit analysis is conducted for investment plans.
  • Support the Managing Director and Leadership Team in commercial decision-making, addressing regulatory matters and ensuring efficient processes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external bodies, including Investors, Auditors, Banks, and advisory services.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be a technically strong, commercially qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) professional with experience in complex businesses with multiple revenue streams. Managing debt facilities, cash, working capital, and capex requirements would be highly beneficial.

The role could suit an individual keen to step into their first Finance Director position, currently a No2 to a CFO, or an existing FD with a hands-on approach.

You will be a proactive commercial business partner with effective influencing skills and a demonstrable track record of adding value. Diplomatic with a high level of emotional intelligence, you will challenge constructively and strive for continuous improvements.

Additional Benefits:
